Jammu and Kashmir Mahjoor Foundation in collaboration with J&K Academy of Art Culture and Languages on Monday organised a literary event comprising poetry recitation and paper reading in the seminar hall of Mahjoor House at Rajbagh here .
Noted poets Prof.Ismail Ashna, Noor Din Hosh, Anjan Kashmiri , Ghulam Nabi Shakir , Manzoor Yousuf recited there poems while in the second session noted scholars Ranjoor Tilgami and Dr Nazir Azad presented their research papers .
In the concluding session ,noted journalist and writer Ghulam Nabi Shakir and Asrar-ul-Haq were unanimously elected as vice president and coordinater of J&K Mahjoor Foundation respectively. The function was presided over by eminent linguist, poet and writer Prof Ismail Ashna . Muhammad Ashraf Tak, chief editor Urdu state cultural academy also participated in the event.
The function concluded with a vote of thanks from the president Mahjoor Foundation Peerzada Abdal Mahjoor .
