JAMMU, Sept 5: S&S Health & Management and Education Society (SSHMES) here today organised a function at GHSS Shastri Nagar in which Alka Sharma, teacher, posted at GMS Alora, Satwari and Narinder Singh Chib, Lecturer in Chemistry, posted at HSS Jullaka Mohalla received Satyawati Best Teacher Award-2023.
During the function Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Sachin Kumar Vaishya; Additional Deputy Commissioner, Jammu, Harvinder Singh; Chief Education Officer Jammu, Suraj Singh Rathore; Deputy CEO Jammu; Ashok Raina; DEPO Jammu, Tarlochan Singh Baloria and Chairman S&S Society, Dr. Subhash Gupta awarded Alka Sharma and Narinder Singh with prestigious Satyawati Best Teacher Award-2023.
Satyawati Awards for Best Teachers were started since 2016 and the recipient is given Certificate, Memento and a cash prize of Rs. 10,000.
A handout stated that main objective of the Society is to serve in the field of Health and Education and it organises many awareness and health camps in remote areas of Jammu.
The Society also distributes reading and writing materials and uniforms to needy students in various Schools and is represented through President Dr. Subhash Gupta (Retd.) Principal Govt. Medical College Jammu; Sachin Gupta, Director Dreamtech Solutions and Dr. Santosh Gupta (Retd) Head and Dean, Commerce Department, Jammu University as Secretary and Vice President.
